Nico Rosberg believes Max Verstappen should have been disqualified from the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix for colliding with George Russell. Verstappen had a poor safety car restart, losing a position to Charles Leclerc and engaging in wheel-to-wheel contact with Russell. Despite Verstappen’s beliefs that he was in the right, Red Bull instructed him to cede his position to Russell. This led to Verstappen deliberately colliding with Russell, resulting in a penalty that Rosberg feels was too lenient. Rosberg criticizes Red Bull’s handling of the situation and believes Verstappen’s actions warranted a black flag. In Rosberg’s view, the entire incident was escalated by a series of poor decisions and actions on Verstappen’s part.
